Our staff go above and beyond to assist residents in continuing with their interests or discovering new ones.

We actively encourage residents to use our video conferencing and social messaging facilities to communicate with their loved ones.
Our in-house chefs prepare fresh meals, taking into account each resident’s dietary needs and preferences.

My dad receives excellent care at the Meadows Nursing Home. He is well cared for and is treated with respect. The meals provided are excellent and they have catered so well for my dad's routine, allowing him to walk to breakfast and still maintain control over his choices, maintaining safety and mental well-being. Communication is great and they are always happy to oblige making it easy for us to collect and return him after a day out. They are also happy to arrange transport for him when attending medical appointments. He feels safe and cared for. The management of the home is excellent and the staff appear happy and helpful. Maybe needs more funding to improve facilities.

S L (Daughter of Resident)

I would recommend this care home to anyone who asked me due to the care and compassion shown towards my mum whilst she resided here. The food was always described by my mum as plentiful and delicious and she was never short of a cup of tea or a biscuit. We were able to personalise her room and bring some of her own furniture. All the staff took the time to speak to my mum and when I phoned or visited we were always given a good update by people who appeared to genuinely know my mum. The staff work so hard here, it may not be the ritz but it is homely just how my mum liked it. The care, compassion and respect that were shown to my mum, my brother and I when my mum was ill and sadly passed away were exceptional, I cannot thank them enough.

S E (Son of Resident)

My brother is no longer able to live alone. It has been a terrible battle to convince him to take a care break at The Meadows. In his mind he hated the idea of a care home - on the day he arrived he told me repeatedly that he would not stay. Within an hour, he felt the warmth of The Meadows - physically and metaphorically. My wish was always to find staff that treated residents like family. The manager and all the staff are amazing. The food and atmosphere are unbelievably brilliant. I cannot speak highly enough.

Donna D (Sister of Resident)

I had always feared my mother going into a residential care home as she was a very exacting and private person. However, when her Parkinson's disease and dementia finally demanded full-time support. My mother had the good fortune to take up residence in The Meadows Nursing Home. What amazed me was how quickly she settled into what became a new lease of life and she always said how much she liked her room and food and loved the staff. She became actively involved in the outings and activities and was always contented. I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for the exceptional love and support she received from every member of the staff. She was always treated with the greatest love, dignity and respect, even in her final days. I could not have asked for more for her.
